I would make out with J. J. Abrams brain if I could.

At least that's what I told Barb after we saw "Cloverfield" last night. Kyle, Barb, and I went to an earlier showing yesterday evening, and let me just say, "wow". Okay, admittedly I am a bit of a Abrams fanboy, but honestly, impartially, this was a terrific flick. The story was well crafted and the actors did a wonderful job of drawing me in. As for the scary stuff (of which there is much), it was genuinely scary. I'm not easily freaked out by movies, but I was covering my eyes repeatedly and squirming in my theatre seat. Even after the film was over and I was home safe and sound, the hairs on the back of my neck continued to prickle. Good times people, good times. :D

Oh Dei, dollface, we all have our limits. Me, I can't abide in anything that's torture related in movies. I just can't do it. I love a good scare, but nothing gruesome and cruel.

You have the right idea, hon. Even when Cloverfield hits the rental stores, I'd give it a pass, because I promise you, it's significantly scarier than Supernatural, but that's okay, you'll always have Kripke and co. to deliver your weekly dose of safe scares, so it's all good. ;)
